Description

You will develop, debug, and integrate embedded software for Linux-based systems, including device drivers and bootloaders.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify device drivers, bootloaders, and board support packages.
• Design new embedded software systems and define system-software architectures.
• Perform hardware/software integration and hands-on validation in simulation labs and on-locomotive.
• Execute testing, code reviews, and defect tracking while adhering to coding standards.
• Manage technical feasibility tradeoffs and prioritize tasks to meet project objectives.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Experience with Linux OS on embedded systems.
• Working knowledge of Python and Bash.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD software engineering practices.
• Skill in software integration and hardware/software interfacing.
• Experience with source control management and build processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with simulation laboratory environments.
