Design and implement responsive, accessible web applications using Angular, Spring Boot, and Java. Own the release pipeline and mentor junior developers.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and test responsive, mobile-friendly, and accessible web features.
- Translate technical specifications into working applications, including detailed programming specifications and unit tests.
- Troubleshoot technical problems during software implementation, conversion, and migrations.
- Review the work of team members and mentor junior developers to strengthen development capabilities.
- Assess cost-benefit analyses for proposed solution designs to gain technical consensus.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development.
- Extensive experience with Angular (versions 14, 15, and 16).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
- Experience building responsive solutions that meet WCAG 2.0 standards.
- Experience designing and constructing REST API services and integrating front-end UIs with them.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud-based solutions, DevOps, and microservices.
- Experience with systems integration, including assessing impacts on existing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with IT security and data privacy technical standards.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Ontario Digital Service Standards and the Ontario Design System.
- Experience with Siebel Open UI and Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
- Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) regulations.
