Description

Lead design and implementation of high-throughput distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot. Own end-to-end technical architecture for cross-team initiatives including provisioning, billing, and customer-facing applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect event-driven systems using Apache Kafka for real-time streaming and integration.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools into engineering workflows to enhance developer productivity.
• Establish engineering standards, lead design reviews, and mentor senior engineers.
• Partner with product and architecture teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Lead production incident response, root cause analysis, and systemic improvements.

Required Skills

• 10+ years overall experience, with 8+ years hands-on with Java (11+) and Spring Boot.
• Deep Oracle expertise including PL/SQL, performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Strong Kafka experience with producers, consumers, Kafka Streams, and schema registry.
• Proven delivery of large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design, microservices patterns, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• AI literacy, specifically the ability to evaluate AI tools and apply them to engineering problems.
• Experience with influence-based technical leadership across multiple teams.

Preferred Skills

• Telecom, network/mobile provisioning, or billing systems experience.
• MNO or MVNO experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms.
