Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java backend development and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure automation along with solid backend engineering skills.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and high-performance applications in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as Spring Boot
• Write secure, high-performance, and reusable code
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Containerize applications using Docker
• Work with orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Product teams
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure system reliability
• Optimize application performance and scalability

Required Technical Skills

Backend Development

• Strong experience with Java
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security
• Experience with Microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of REST API design and development
• Experience with Hibernate / JPA
• Messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Unit & Integration testing using JUnit and Mockito

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Kubernetes orchestration
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and SRE practices

Database & Storage

• Relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
• NoSQL databases: MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Query optimization and performance tuning

Mandatory Skills

• GCP Artifact Registry

• Microservices Architecture

Good to Have Skills

• Docker

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architecture
• Exposure to distributed systems design
• Knowledge of OAuth2 and JWT security

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
• AWS/Azure/GCP certification is a plus
