Description

You will design, develop, and test software programs using Java, C++, and Perl within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and modify software using Java, C++, and Perl.
• Analyze requirements and systems using standard software engineering practices to solve engineering problems.
• Document development and testing processes through reports, memos, and change requests.
• Manage software development efforts by maintaining records in tracking management tools.
• Mentor less experienced staff by providing technical guidance and counsel.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java development with a BS degree, or 3+ years with an MS degree.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, and Perl programming languages.
• Experience across the full software development life-cycle, including design, requirements, implementation, and testing.
• Ability to maintain compliance with quality policies and documented procedures.
• Experience analyzing situations to recommend corrective or alternative engineering actions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the medical device or regulated software industry (e.g., IEC 62304).
• Multi-threaded Java application development on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Collaboration with systems, firmware, and hardware engineering disciplines.
