Description

You will design, implement, and test features for an open-source search and analytics platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components including indexing, querying, distributed systems, security, and performance.
• Contribute to data ingestion pipelines using Java.
• Manage and scale OpenSearch clusters in production environments.
• Review code, fix bugs, and improve overall architecture and design.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver components across the entire stack.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch core components and best practices.
• Knowledge of indexing strategies, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in OpenSearch/Elasticsearch query DSL, aggregations, and full-text search capabilities.
• Experience with data ingestion techniques and tools for populating indices.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to help application development teams craft efficient integrations, query patterns, and indexes.
