Description

You will modernize legacy Walmart replenishment applications by migrating functionality to cloud-based NextGen technologies. You understand existing legacy systems and develop equivalent modules in Java. You handle the deployment of newly developed modules following integration testing. You gather business requirements to implement features that improve product fulfillment. You manage Jira stories, interacting with the offshore team to distribute tasks. You work under supervision and must be available for travel or relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the USA.

Responsibilities

• Modernize legacy applications by migrating functionality to cloud environments.
• Develop Java modules that replicate existing legacy application features.
• Deploy new modules after successful integration testing.
• Implement additional functionalities based on business requirements.
• Manage Jira stories and distribute tasks to the offshore team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of progressive work experience in Java development.
• Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE).
• Proficiency in building Microservices architectures.
• Strong background in developing Webservices.
• Hands-on experience with the Spring framework.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, Business, or Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud environments and modernization projects.
