You will design, develop, and support core applications while optimizing system performance in Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core applications using C and C++.
• Write and maintain scripts to support system operations.
• Analyze long-running slow queries to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Tune system performance by creating indexes, removing duplicate code, and implementing calculated columns.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with Java.
• Experience with C#.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with database query optimization and indexing strategies.
