Description

You will develop advanced applications for the Android platform. You own the release pipeline from design wireframes to production code.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality Android applications from design wireframes.
• Maintain application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Identify bottlenecks and resolve bugs to ensure stability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers to meet user specifications.
• Implement new technologies within the application stack.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Android app development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Extensive knowledge of Android SDK and design principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English for collaboration with engineering managers.
• Experience with Android, JSON, REST, and Java.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with a 4-hour overlap with U.S. time zones.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud messaging APIs, background processing, and offline storage.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, threading, caching, and third-party libraries.
• Understanding of mobile architectures and source control systems like Git.
