Description

You will develop and test software applications using big data technologies within a scaled agile framework.

Responsibilities

• Define development strategies using Cassandra, Spark, and other big data technologies.
• Design, develop, and test software applications according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams to resolve issues and ensure system compatibility.
• Perform code testing and design new code for all design specifications.
• Participate in all scaled agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• Object-Oriented Design and Programming in Java on UNIX or Linux platforms.
• Hadoop MapReduce programming.
• ETL processes from relational databases (Oracle DB, IBM DB2) to NoSQL databases like Apache Cassandra using Apache Spark.
• Pub/Sub messaging using Apache Kafka and Apache ZooKeeper.
• Writing JUnit tests and functional test cases for services.
• Shell scripting or other scripting languages.
• Handling remote data via REST and JSON.
• Using REST simulation tools like Postman and knowledge of HTTP protocols.
• Experience with DevOps tools including Maven, GitHub, and Jenkins.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MS/foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
• At least 6 months of experience in an information technology related field.
