Description

You will optimize database performance and reliability for next-generation Azure platform products. You own the full lifecycle of database modifications, from defining logical and physical structures to coordinating with project teams on scope and limitations. You will also support the development and validation of Linux-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing databases and management systems to optimize performance and reliability.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, specifying identifiers for management systems.
• Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and define project scope.
• Review project requests to estimate time and resources required for successful completion.
• Support the development, testing, and validation of Linux-based systems for Azure platforms.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Recent hands-on experience with Linux within the last 5 years.
• Proficiency with SQL for database management and optimization.
• Experience with VisualBasic and related development software.
• Experience contributing to open source Linux projects or upstreaming contributions.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal communication skills.
