Description

You will own payment transaction settlement platforms within a mainframe environment, ensuring end-to-end application delivery and system stability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify program logic for new and existing applications using COBOL, IDMS, and DB2.
• Perform performance tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of mainframe code in batch and online environments.
• Design high-level and detailed technical documentation, including HLD and DDD, to support credit and debit card processing.
• Lead hardware and software upgrades, disaster recovery procedures, and system audits.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to resolve application issues and job abends.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of mainframe experience or an advanced degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in COBOL, IDMS, DB2, and VSAM.
• Hands-on experience with IBM JCL, REXX, and Remedy.
• Experience working within the Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to perform unit testing using JCL, PROCs, and flat files.
• Experience with merchant acquiring, settlement balancing, and error processing.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced Degree or technical certifications.
• Knowledge of merchant acquiring information security concepts.
• Experience with international credit and debit card processing and integration services.
