Description

You will drive the technical direction and implementation of complex distributed systems from product conception to delivery.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Refine product requirements into actionable technical specifications and lead high-level and low-level design.
• Own independent coding across multiple components and optimize existing microservices for reliability, availability, and scale.
• Select appropriate tech stacks and contribute to reusable libraries and platformization efforts.
• Lead design reviews, drive CI/CD and automated testing improvements, and mentor junior engineers.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in lead roles covering architecture and tech stack selection.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and evolving high-performance distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in Java, including JVM tuning and debugging memory leaks.
• Proficiency in concurrency constructs and object-oriented low-level class/interface design.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL systems (KV, columnar, document stores) including tuning for heavy loads.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, message queues, CI/CD, and microservices.
• 4+ years of experience scaling large-scale distributed systems involving compute, messaging, caching, and monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with low latency, fault tolerance, and memory management.
