Description

Design, build, and operate integrations between 7-Eleven and third-party MarTech/ad-tech vendors, including REST and event-driven APIs, data feeds, and orchestration tooling for marketers and analysts.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain REST/event-driven APIs and batch/streaming data feeds for enterprise data lakes and activation platforms.
  • Develop business-friendly interfaces and tooling on top of the orchestration layer to enable non-engineering operations.
  • Partner with data platform, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to land, secure, and govern external data using data contracts and schema validation.
  • Translate vendor API contracts and data specs into reliable, well-tested, production-ready services.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards for reliability and data quality.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years building backend services and APIs using Node.js, Spring/Java, Python, or similar.
  • Experience integrating third-party/vendor APIs and data feeds, including OAuth, IAM roles, and cross-account access.
  • 2+ years with data pipelines and stores (SQL and NoSQL), including batch and streaming tools like Kafka, Kinesis, or Auto Loader.
  • 2+ years building with cloud services (S3, IAM, serverless functions, compute); experience with Databricks or lakehouse patterns is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with containerized tooling and deployments (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical business partners.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills across distributed, multi-vendor systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) sufficient to build internal/business-facing tooling.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degrees
