Description

You will architect and expand the MQTT-based IoT infrastructure across embedded medical devices and AWS cloud services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Produce architecture decision records (ADRs), interface contracts, and design specifications.
• Implement connectivity middleware and communication services in C and Python for device and cloud sides.
• Architect cloud-side integration using AWS microservices (EC2, S3) to support the protocol layer.
• Design security hardening, including TLS/mTLS, certificate-based authentication, and PKI lifecycle management.
• Ensure cloud connectivity reliability through offline buffering, reconnect strategies, and guaranteed delivery patterns.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5 years focused on IoT systems architecture.
• Deep expertise in C and Python for system-level software development.
• Strong MQTT expertise, including broker configuration, QoS levels, and MQTT 5.0 features.
• Solid understanding of pub/sub and RPC messaging patterns for reliable implementation.
• Working knowledge of AWS microservices (EC2, S3) capable of supporting device connectivity design.
• Strong grasp of network security fundamentals: TLS/mTLS, PKI, and IoT device authorization.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading design reviews and driving technical alignment.
• Familiarity with implementing message deduplication and offline buffering patterns.
