Description

Design and maintain embedded firmware for server management, telemetry, and control systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance custom OpenBMC firmware for new features and stability.
• Implement real-time monitoring for power, thermal sensors, and hardware health.
• Validate firmware with hardware engineers for existing and future platforms.
• Debug and optimize low-level drivers and hardware interfaces.
• Define long-term firmware architecture for GPU cluster reliability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Bash, and Go.
• Hands-on experience with BMCs, microcontrollers, or SoC firmware.
• Strong understanding of embedded Linux and Linux Kernel.
• Experience with OpenBMC, U-Boot, and Meson or CMake build systems.
• Knowledge of hardware bring-up, debugging, and interfaces like I2C, SPI, eSPI, UART, and LPC.
• Familiarity with protocols including SMBus, PCIe, PMBus, and PECI.
• Understanding of descriptors and formats such as FRU, SMBIOS, ACPI, and DMI.

Preferred Skills

• Experience contributing to long-term firmware architecture for large-scale hardware systems.
• Background in hardware validation and cross-functional collaboration with hardware engineering teams.
