Description

You will design and deliver high-quality features and enhancements within a distributed systems environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale features spanning multiple months.
• Create technical design specifications in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Provide estimates and participate in the sprint planning process.
• Tune distributed system performance to meet established SLAs.
• Peer review code and mentor other engineers on technical solutions and shipping velocity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Significant experience with a dynamically typed, object-oriented language, preferably Python.
• Experience with cloud computing and container-based distributed systems using Docker.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, specifically MySQL.
• Deep understanding of RDBMS concepts including locking, transaction models, isolation levels, and deadlocks.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience using message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API development.
• Proven experience using GitHub for version control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Ability to write technical design specifications.
