Description

Design, develop, and support middleware infrastructure and software systems across multiple environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and document new and existing software applications for internal and external use.
• Lead technical direction for complex initiatives involving cross-functional system integration.
• Install, build, and configure WebSphere and JBOSS on AWS EC2 instances across Linux and Windows platforms.
• Optimize application resource usage through JVM tuning and JEE component packaging.
• Ensure platform performance and availability through proactive monitoring and service restoration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java/J2EE development and deployment experience.
• In-depth knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, JBOSS EAP, Tomcat, Apache, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with middleware products on AWS (EC2 and containerized instances).
• Ability to provide on-site and 24/7 on-call support as needed.
• Solid knowledge of PowerShell.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET hosting and IIS.
• AWS certification.

Preferred Skills

• OpenShift Administration experience, specifically regarding creating and updating middleware images.
