Description

You will design, develop, and deploy high-quality Java-based software solutions, with a strong focus on AI-augmented engineering workflows.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Design and operate AI agents to automate code generation, testing, and incident triage.
• Integrate AI capabilities into backend services using foundation models, prompt engineering, and RAG patterns.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience building scalable REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency with event-driven systems (Kafka or JMS).
• Experience with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD automation.
• Hands-on experience with AI productivity tools (Claude, Cursor) and AI agent development.
• Proficiency with relational databases and complex SQL.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and API testing (Postman, Karate).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, or Grafana).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data platforms (Snowflake).
• Knowledge of privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR, etc.).
