Description

You will implement, test, and debug features for routing protocol software.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Write functional and design specifications for routing protocol features.
• Implement solutions using C, C++, and Python.
• Develop test plan specifications and automate test programs.
• Debug issues identified by automated tests and implement fixes.
• Collaborate on implementing and debugging solutions for larger problems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with C or C++.
• Hands-on experience with UNIX or Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of IP networking and routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, or PIM).
• Proven experience designing IP routing protocol or distributed systems software.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to independently design and implement solutions for small problems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python for automation and testing.
