Description

You will design and build scalable back-end applications and services, focusing on high-quality data handling and API performance. You will own the full development lifecycle from design to deployment, ensuring systems are robust, documented, and optimized for high-volume traffic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain back-end services using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Optimize database queries and schema designs for high-volume API performance.
• Implement and maintain automated testing, including unit tests and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify bottlenecks, debug issues, and participate in architectural decisions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software development and database engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Experience optimizing databases for high-volume RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Deep understanding of client-server architecture and version control with Git.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and modern API design patterns.
• Understanding of performance optimization and security best practices.
