Description

Develop safety- and security-critical embedded software for Programmable Logic Controllers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software for new PLCs using C++ and Python.
• Work across commercial off-the-shelf and custom System on Chip architectures.
• Maintain and improve continuous integration pipelines and engineering tools.
• Participate in Scaled Agile Framework teams to monitor health and velocity.
• Design and implement drivers and firmware for real-time environments.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python with object-oriented design.
• Experience with real-time embedded development environments.
• Proven experience in driver or firmware development.
• Familiarity with QNX or similar embedded operating systems.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new codebases and hardware environments.
• Experience with Linux-based embedded systems.
• Knowledge of Common Industrial Protocol (CIP).
• Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with safety standards such as IEC 61508 or IEC 62443.
• Knowledge of Intel and ARM architectures.
• Experience with embedded Hypervisors and bare-metal development.
