Description

You will own BAU support and feature development for the ISEC platform using COBOL and Python.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Provide BAU support for the ISEC platform, remediating scheduling errors, user queries, and data issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, Oracle Forms, Python, PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting.
• Troubleshoot software defects, performance issues, and manage incidents through to resolution.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and deliver new features via the CR process.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of professional experience in software development and application support.
• Proficiency in COBOL, Python, Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, and Shell Scripting (Linux).
• Strong Oracle database experience, including SQL query optimization and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with both front-end and back-end development.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, specifically Incident and Problem Management.
• Experience with ITSM tooling such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Oracle or Python certifications.
