Description

You will build and optimize data collection agents to extract API traffic, application logs, and performance metrics from distributed systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build data collection agents using eBPF, API gateways, traffic mirroring, and language-specific instrumentation.
• Design scalable, reliable data collection pipelines for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
• Optimize data extraction and processing for speed, scale, and reliability.
• Develop new features including bot or ML-based protection to drive platform innovation.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to meet platform and customer requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Go, C/C++, or Java.
• Deep understanding of system fundamentals including processes, CPU, memory, containers, cgroups, and filesystems.
• Proficiency with Linux networking and the networking stack (TCP, UDP, L2/L3, L4).
• Knowledge of protocols including SSL, TLS v1.2/v1.3, HTTP1, HTTP2, HTTP3, and gRPC.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Strong data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving skills.
• Competency in JavaScript.
• Experience with API Gateways.

Preferred Skills

• Experience writing policies for API Gateways or Load Balancers.
• Hands-on experience with networking devices such as F5 BigIP, Citrix ADC, Avi, or Arista.
• Prior contributions to open source projects.
