Description

You will develop and maintain flight-critical embedded software for data link products, owning the full lifecycle from architecture to release.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop flight-critical embedded software using object-oriented design principles.
• Architect real-time embedded systems and manage hardware-software integration.
• Design and implement device drivers for embedded targets.
• Provide technical leadership when collaborating with internal organizations and external customers.
• Maintain software systems throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• C++ development following DO-178C standards.
• Proficiency in C, Assembly, and Python or Perl scripting.
• Experience as a software architect for real-time embedded systems.
• Proven experience in the design and maintenance of flight-critical embedded software.
• Expertise in hardware-software integration and device driver design.
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics with 8 years of relevant experience (or Master's with 5 years, or 12 years experience in lieu of a degree).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of network protocols, Real Time Operating Systems, and air/ground messaging (ARINC 618, 619, A661, A739).
• Familiarity with aircraft systems including Data Link, RTSA EICAS, CDU, FDSA, and FMS.
• Understanding of DO-178B/C, DO-200, and DO-330 certification processes.
