Description

You will manage the development, administration, and maintenance of DB2 database applications and environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform DB2 upgrades, maintenance, and version customizations to ensure system stability.
• Execute database administration tasks including Copy, Load, Unload, Reorg, and the decommissioning of application objects.
• Manage application releases, including creating changes, preparing test environments, and performing data refreshes.
• Resolve DB2 software issues through timely troubleshooting and participation in on-call support rotations.
• Monitor and schedule software across Development, Test, and Production environments while fixing batch job failures.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in software engineering or database administration.
• Extensive hands-on experience with DB2.
• Proficiency in Database Administration and managing Online and Stand-alone utilities.
• Ability to analyze user needs and software requirements for design feasibility.
• Experience providing second-layer support and participating in on-call rotations.

Preferred Skills

• Collaboration with Storage, Operations, and Performance teams to resolve technical issues and coordinate downtime during upgrades.
