Description

You will manage database administration and application support within an agile DevOps environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify computer applications based on user needs and design feasibility.
• Manage application releases, change requests, space issues, and Abend fixes.
• Prepare test environments, perform data refreshes, and support programmers during testing.
• Automate database-wide health checks and configure email alerts.
• Monitor and schedule software across development, test, and production environments, resolving batch job failures.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience in database administration or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to work in an agile environment with second-layer support rotations.
• Experience managing version upgrades, maintenance, and decommissioning of application objects.
• Proficiency with online and stand-alone utilities.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT, or a related field.
