Description

You will manage quality processes for supplier components and assemblies, ensuring adherence to APQP and overseeing PPAP submissions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure supplier adherence to APQP processes and manage product PPAP submission and approval.
• Review and approve supplier quality plans for new vehicle and powertrain components.
• Implement and monitor supplier part qualification and certification processes.
• Determine root cause of supplier manufacturing issues and implement effective quality resolutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering functions.
• Strong knowledge of automotive interior, exterior, body, chassis, electrical, or powertrain quality.
• Proficiency in Quality Systems Planning (APQP) and PPAP.
• Ability to perform statistical problem solving using Red X, DFSS, and DMAIC.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Quality processes.
• Proficient in print reading, part measurement, gage design, and function.
• Knowledge of Geometric Design and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering.
