Description

You will engineer embedded systems using Linux and Yocto, owning the build, customization, and validation of custom distributions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems using the Yocto Project.
• Develop and maintain Linux kernel drivers using C and optimize applications using C++.
• Integrate third-party libraries, tools, and drivers into custom Linux distributions.
• Debug, test, and validate software on target hardware platforms using GDB and JTAG.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes, layers, and customizing images.
• Proficiency in C for developing Linux kernel drivers.
• Advanced programming skills in C++ (C++11 or later) for application development.
• Hands-on experience with building, configuring, and customizing the Linux kernel.
• 10+ years of professional experience.
• Familiarity with ARM or other embedded architectures.
• Strong understanding of real-time constraints and safety-critical development practices.
• Knowledge of device trees and hardware abstraction layers.
• Proficiency with Git for version control.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and CAN.
