Description

You will own codebase modernization, compiler upgrades, and toolchain optimization. You assess the codebase for outdated compilers, deprecated code, and suboptimal practices. You lead migrations to newer compiler versions and resolve compatibility issues. You refactor code to improve readability, maintainability, and performance. You implement new tools to streamline development processes. You document modernization efforts and establish best practices for the team.

Responsibilities

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with code refactoring and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with build systems such as Bazel.
• Knowledge of industry standards including HAP, Autosar, or Misra.
• Experience using static analysis tools and code quality metrics.
