Description

You will own codebase modernization, compiler upgrades, and toolchain optimization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assess the codebase to identify outdated compilers and deprecated code.
• Lead migrations to newer compiler versions and resolve compatibility issues.
• Refactor code to improve readability, maintainability, and performance.
• Implement new tools to streamline development processes.
• Document modernization efforts and establish best practices for the team.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with code refactoring and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with build systems such as Bazel.
• Knowledge of industry standards including HAP, Autosar, or Misra.
• Experience using static analysis tools and code quality metrics.
