Description

Develop and maintain the GitHub CLI open source project to improve terminal-based developer workflows.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new features to simplify developer workflows.
• Triage community-reported issues and assist teammates with problem-solving.
• Debug complex issues within unfamiliar codebases.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless user experience.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency with Go.
• Experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid understanding of testing principles and software quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building command line tools.
• Experience working within a remote, distributed team.
• Interest in contributing to open source communities.
