Description

Provide application and database administration, system design, and upgrade support for commercial software products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate application software installations, patches, and maintenance across Linux and Microsoft Windows platforms.
• Collaborate with vendors, system administrators, and developers to design system configurations and integrate commercial software products.
• Implement and document security measures using NIST methodologies.
• Debug application, email flow, and database performance issues by analyzing system logs.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and lead project implementations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in application administration, database administration, or an equivalent role.
• Proficiency with SQL Server database concepts and administration.
• Strong experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
• Ability to use scripting to manage Windows and Linux environments.
• Deep understanding of client/server and web architectures.
• Experience with the maintenance, upgrades, and customization of purchased commercial systems.
• Knowledge of Safe Agile concepts.
• Proven ability to debug complex issues to uncover root causes.
• Strong documentation habits and technical communication skills.

• Experience leading technical projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
