Description

Design and deliver scalable data platform solutions, including lakes and pipelines, using AWS services and SQL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data lakes and pipelines on AWS using S3, Parquet, Iceberg, and Avro.
• Design and implement secure database strategies for MySQL, Oracle, and backup/recovery.
• Develop production code in Java and Python, leveraging enterprise-authorized AI tools for efficiency.
• Create architecture artifacts and ensure design constraints are met in complex applications.
• Analyze large datasets to produce visualizations and reporting for continuous improvement.

Required Skills

• AWS cloud technologies with hands-on experience building data solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Java, and Python.
• Experience with data serialization formats: Parquet, Iceberg, Avro.
• Database management with MySQL and Oracle DB.
• Knowledge of AWS S3 for data storage and management.
• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied experience in data engineering or software development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake and streaming technologies like Kinesis or MSK.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or serverless workflows.
• Knowledge of AWS security controls (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager) and Lake Formation.
