Description

You will design, build, and support scalable Java-based components and microservices, owning them from design through production.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into low-level and high-level designs, breaking projects into actionable tasks with accurate estimates.
• Write modular, readable, and performant code using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, ensuring extensibility and adherence to S.O.L.I.D principles.
• Build and support AI-assisted applications, autonomous agents, and agentic workflows that coordinate multi-step tasks.
• Conduct code reviews, prototype new technologies, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on shared vision.
• Support live production systems and continuously refactor code to maintain operability and usability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Strong proficiency with Kafka, RESTful web services, and JPA.
• Experience building cloud-ready microservices and highly scalable systems.
• Practical knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Delivery.
• Ability to design complex, extensible solutions and perform high-level design with guidance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across management levels and teams.
• Agile Scrum experience and a problem-solving approach focused on usability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building AI-assisted applications, autonomous agents, or agentic workflow systems.
• Exposure to prototyping new frameworks and technologies for proof-of-concepts.
