Description

You will design and develop product features serving 820M monthly active users, scaling to 100K+ RPS. You own feature quality, write clean code with high test coverage, and review peer code to maintain organizational standards. You mentor junior engineers, build reusable libraries, and optimize applications for speed and scalability. You also participate in hiring to identify top talent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend features for high-traffic systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Review code to ensure adherence to quality and design standards.

• Optimize application performance and scalability under heavy load.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of server-side software development experience in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Clojure and Java.
• Experience with databases and messaging systems at scale: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of System Design and Data Structures.
• Proven experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of frontend development, specifically JavaScript and React.
• Experience with functional programming paradigms.
• Familiarity with benchmarking systems for performance and failure detection.
