Description

You will design, develop, and implement core backend software components and systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core backend components using PHP and Hack.
• Own specific components, features, or systems with end-to-end understanding.
• Conduct design and code reviews to improve quality and reliability.
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
• Build unit test coverage and manage the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Hack and PHP for backend development.
• Experience with C, C++, or Java.
• Strong experience with scripting languages including Python and Javascript.
• Working knowledge of SQL and VisualBasic.
• Experience designing, analyzing, and improving system scalability and stability.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and implement system changes.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
• Experience setting technical direction and driving cross-functional consensus.
