Description

You will engineer production-grade distributed systems and internal APIs, focusing on reliability and operational excellence.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve internal APIs for fleet health and metric generation.
• Build automation for issue diagnosis and repository health.
• Deploy and operate access APIs in Kubernetes using TLS mutual authentication.
• Collaborate on CLI and ChatOps tooling to surface operational insights.
• Document architectural designs and prototype planetary-scale systems.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience maintaining production software in Go, Ruby, or Python.
• 1+ year of professional experience with distributed systems.
• Experience running containerized applications in production environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of API design, secure service communication (TLS mutual-auth), REST, and RPC (Twirp).
• Proficiency with Git.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog and Splunk.

Preferred Skills

• Troubleshooting across network, caching, queuing, storage, and distributed service layers.
• Experience with Go and cloud-native architectures.
