Description

You will own the design, development, and standardization of enterprise-grade Java applications and microservices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce engineering standards, coding best practices, and architectural patterns across the organization.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop tools and automation within the CI/CD pipeline to ensure code quality, security, and operational stability.
• Lead technical guidance for cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and big data technologies to enhance development speed and product capabilities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied experience in Java 8/J2EE distributed application development.
• Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD practices, and Agile methodologies.
• Solid understanding of database systems including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.
• Experience with enterprise application servers such as IBM WebSphere.
• Familiarity with Unix/Solaris operating systems and version control tools like Subversion.
• Ability to create POCs for new technologies and drive adoption of modern engineering practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) and big data technologies (Spark, Scala, HDFS).
• Familiarity with API gateways, Service Oriented Architecture, and enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants.
