Description

You will contribute as a database engineer and development expert, supporting application development teams with database modernization, optimization, performance tuning, and design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and support database modernization activities with application development teams.
  • Provide thought leadership on database footprint analysis, migration, and post-migration efforts.
  • Partner with PaaS, DBaaS, and Cloud Delivery teams to resolve issues and influence self-service capability implementation.
  • Participate in strategic database modernization planning and developing modernization patterns.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues, contributing to root cause analysis.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in database system design, development, and performance testing.
  • Demonstrable experience performing database upgrades and migrations.
  • Proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora Postgres, CockroachDB, MongoDB.
  • Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong command of Database Design and Performance Tuning methodologies.
  • Practical experience implementing DevOps practices.
