Description

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, high-quality applications and systems. You will own the full software development life cycle, from writing code to ensuring operational stability in a large corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions using Java, Python, or Scala within the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Design and develop ETL pipelines and data processing applications using Apache Spark and PySpark.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with consideration for upstream and downstream system implications.
• Gather and analyze large, diverse data sets to support application development and system stability.
• Apply SDLC tools to improve automation, value delivery, and code standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of: Java, Python, or Scala.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark.
• Proven ability to design, develop, test, and maintain code in large-scale environments.
• Experience with ETL processes and data modeling.
• Knowledge of system design and application resiliency.
• Understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, or Developer).
• Experience with GenAI and code generation tools like Copilot and Claude.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy controls in the financial industry.
