Description

Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Python, and AWS services. Own the full lifecycle of software solutions, from system design and coding to deployment and operational stability.

Responsibilities

• Build secure, high-quality production code and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure engineering standards.
• Design and implement microservices using Spring Framework, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka.
• Automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application resilience and operational stability.
• Lead architectural design assessments and evaluate technologies for communities of practice.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and drive improvements in coding hygiene.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied experience in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in Java and Python for application development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including compute, storage, databases, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework, Kubernetes, and containerization.
• Experience with message streaming using Apache Kafka.
• Demonstrated ability in system design and Agile methodologies.
• Database experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect - Associate certification.
• Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda, Step Functions, and MSK.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, or financial services IT systems.
