You design, develop, and troubleshoot mainframe software solutions, owning the full lifecycle from technical design to secure production implementation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and troubleshoot mainframe applications while managing upstream and downstream system interactions.
• Apply CI/CD practices and SDLC toolchains to improve automation and deployment value.
• Analyze large data sets to identify problems and implement technical solutions.
• Ensure application resiliency, security, and operational stability in production environments.
• Contribute to team culture through inclusive collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Hands-on proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and CICS.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in system design, application development, and testing.
• Ability to write secure, high-quality code with limited guidance.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills for complex, multi-component systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern front-end technologies, cloud platforms, or CICS web services.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Agile methodologies, or banking domain systems.
