Description

Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution systems while managing database modifications and system changes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution tools.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems, specifying logical and physical descriptions.
• Coordinate database development within the project team to define scope and limitations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement system changes to resolve problems.
• Review project requests to estimate time and cost for database user needs.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency with SQL and Visual Basic.
• Strong knowledge of databases and database management systems.
• Experience with systems analysis and the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to manage requirements gathering, functional specification authoring, development, testing, and delivery.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in business, scientific, or general computing applications.
