Description

You will engineer and automate middleware products, focusing on WebSphere Application Server environments and automation playbooks.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base) environments, including high availability setups.
• Develop automation playbooks using the Ansible controller.
• Design and implement application server architecture following established patterns.
• Manage certificate security and deploy WebSphere Liberty in VMs and containers (Podman, OCP).

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Middleware Application Server Engineer.
• Deep, hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (ND/Base), including enterprise repository setup.
• Advanced knowledge of WebSphere Liberty, specifically deployment in VMs and containers.
• Strong scripting experience in Shell Script, Python, PowerShell, or Java.
• Experience implementing solutions within an Agile framework.
• Familiarity with application server design and architectural patterns.
• Understanding of certificate management for security.
• Experience with Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, or NGINX.
