Lead automation strategy and support continuous delivery for the application team in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Create and own the overall automation strategy for the application under test.
• Support the application team in continuous delivery efforts and participate in code reviews.
• Guide other testers and automation engineers in approach design, script development, execution, and reporting.
• Analyze and communicate test results and defect resolution tasks to stakeholders.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt automation practices to improve development efficiency.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Proficiency in Java and Selenium for front-end and backend automation.
• Experience with BDD and TDD using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.
• Strong experience in API automation using REST Assured or Karate.
• Knowledge of databases including DB2, MongoDB, or Snowflake.
• Ability to write SQL queries.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with file handling in Java.
• Knowledge or experience with Cypress.
• AWS certification.
