Description

Build and operate scalable backend and UI applications using Java and cloud technologies, owning the full development lifecycle from design to deployment.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications, including unit testing, code deployment, and technical documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve performance issues, triage system defects, and debug complex problems across distributed services.
• Integrate internal systems with Data Fabric and CSA Toolset, ensuring operational excellence, security, and scalability.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and architecture discussions to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Apply modern practices such as CI/CD, microservices, and infrastructure-as-code within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience with software design, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications.
• Proficiency in Java programming (JDK v17+), SQL/NoSQL databases, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with large, complex datasets and distributed system concepts.
• Familiarity with source code control (SVN/Git, GitHub) and Atlassian tooling (JIRA, Confluence).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, Redshift, Glue) or hybrid cloud data architectures.
