Description

You will own L2/L3 production support for IBM iSeries applications, ensuring stability and performance in high-availability manufacturing environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents for RPG, RPGLE, and CL/CLLE applications on Db2, adhering to strict SLA timelines.
• Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics to proactively identify issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and deploy hotfixes, patches, and configuration changes across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams on server, database, and network activities to maintain system stability and support business continuity.
• Maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures, and compliance documentation for change management and security standards.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IBM iSeries application development or support.
• Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, CL/CLLE, SQL, and Db2.
• Experience with CA Job Scheduler, MIMIX, and PowerHA.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management.
• Ability to work on-call or during non-regular hours in the Asia time zone.
• Willingness to travel for intensive training during the initial 6-12 months.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving under pressure.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of manufacturing back office operations, shop floor operations, or trading company workflows.
• Experience with HA/DR technologies, performance monitoring, and optimization.
