Description

Design, develop, and deploy distributed, multi-tiered enterprise Java applications in high-volume, high-availability environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3–5 developers, conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers on design and coding best practices.
• Collaborate with architects on system design and work with business users to define technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and coordinate with QA and Customer Support to resolve software bugs.
• Implement and optimize REST/SOAP interfaces for mission-critical systems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing Enterprise Java applications using J2EE, object-oriented design, and MVC frameworks.
• Deep understanding of Java technology frameworks including Dependency Injection, ORM, and Message Brokers.
• Proficiency with UI stack technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with NoSQL (Cassandra, Redis) or RDBMS (Oracle) databases.
• Experience with Web and Application Servers, specifically WebSphere and JBoss.
• Proven experience working in Agile team environments.
• Background in high-volume, high-availability transactional applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Spring Boot, AWS Cloud, Docker containers, and Gradle.
• Familiarity with Linux, Sonar, and Jenkins.
