Description

You will design, develop, test, and deploy applications using Java and Python within a large-scale internal technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy software applications using Java and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software applications.
• Participate in code reviews and document development processes and technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience using Java and Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Google technology stack: Google3, Piper, Blaze, Git5/G4, and Borg.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with web frameworks for Java and Python.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) for Java application deployment.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
